Champion Data was founded in Melbourne, Australia in 1995 by former AFL Carlton footballer Ted Hopkins and his wife, Angelika Oehme, with a vision to look beyond basic statistics and unlock the deeper, data-driven storytelling. Ted and Angelika played a hands-on role in shaping the company’s evolution and culture, and their legacy continues to underpin the way we think, work, and tell the story behind the game.
